Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
When Dr. Steve was an undergraduate, he had to undergo extensive dental work due to a bike accident. He was amazed at how much this changed his life, and he wanted to be able to help others similarly. After this experience, there was no looking back—he was destined to go to dental school!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Steve completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater before attending the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2013.
Throughout his career, Dr. Steve has remained dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field by taking hundreds of hours of continuing education courses. They’ve covered a wide range of general dental procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. He also remains an active member of the American Dental Association and Iowa Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Steve moved from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago to small-town Southeast Iowa, and he absolutely loves it! He’s proud to have raised his family here, which includes his wife, Michelle, as well as their three young children, Riley, Jake, and Emma. In his free time, he loves to go hunting and fishing, play guitar, and make memories with his family.
